Men's & Women's Competition, No University Hockey Players, Points Scale 'C'

Rules:

1. Each Hall may enter ONE team which will consist of SIX players and TWO substitutes.

2. The competition will be played in pools initially with the top two teams from each pool going through to a knock-out competition. This will give an order from 1 - 4. Teams 5 - 8 and 9 down will share the Intramural points.

3. Each game will be played for 6 minutes each way with 1 minute for half-time.

4. The games will be played under the standard rules for Indoor Hockey except for the playing time, which is shown above. N.B. Goalkeepers MUST wear full head and face protection.

5 a) To reduce the possibility of ties in the pools and in line with the knock-out section, all tied games will be decided immediately by penalty flicks using the sudden death system.

b) Considering goal difference for the games played in that pool will break ties in pools. If this fails to break the tie then the goals scored will be considered. If necessary the result of the match between the tying halls will be used.

6. A team winning by a walk-over will be deemed to have won 2-0.

7. The competition will be run and the officials provided by the AU Hockey Club.

8. Ineligibility will be as for the hockey competition.

9. Halls to play in Hall colours - bibs will not be provided.

10. The draw will be made in a Sports Secretaries meeting prior to the event.
