No University Fencers, Points Scale 'D'

Rules:

1. Teams will be made up of TWO fencers at Epee- 1 male, 1 female. Electric recording apparatus will be used for the final rounds if possible.

2. The initial part of the competition will be run on an individual pool basis. Individuals from these pools will go forward to the knock-out competition. Points will be awarded to individuals dependent on how far they get in the competition. Individual points will then be added to give them totals from which a rank order will be produced.

3. All prospective fencers will be required at the first session for training. Any competitor not attending this session will not be allowed to take part in the event. Fencers required at the second session will depend on numbers entered and time taken.

4. In the event of a tie in the pool placings, a hits indicator will be used to place the tying competitors. If there is a tie in the team totals, the position of the best 3rd man, or if necessary the best 2nd or lst man, will be used to place the team.

5. Competitors must satisfy themselves that the President's record of the fights is correct at the end of the pool.
