No University Archers, Points Scale 'D'
Venue: Victory Hall, Weds 6th May 2009

Rules:

1. Hall teams will consist of 4 archers, 2 women, 2 men.
(You may enter less than 4 if you cannot raise that many competitors).

2. Each Hall will have half an hour of safety prep and practice, then half an hour of shooting.

3. The 122cm FITA Target Face will be used with 5 zone scoring.

4. Competitors must use the bows and arrows and accessories provided.

5. The competition will be held over a distance of 20 yards. In the event of a tie, the result will be decided upon the total number of hits on target. If there is still a tie, the total number of 'Golds' will decide.

6. Six sighting shots will be allowed.

7. A loaded bow may not be drawn except on the shooting line and in the direction of the target, and then only after the signal to commence shooting has been given.

8. No person is allowed to cross the shooting line until all competitors have fired their 3 arrows; and then only after the signal has been given

9. It is the responsibility of every competitor to observe the safety measures laid down. It is within the power of the judge to withdraw any competitor or team from the competition whom in the judge's opinion, is causing danger to anyone whatsoever.

10. Anybody arriving late will be allowed to commence shooting but will only be allowed to participate in the ends remaining upshot.

11. Any Archer not fully conversant with the rules will be disqualified on the spot.

12. Further details of the organisation of the event, including the scoring will be published prior to the event.

13. Anybody who has shot for the Archery Club is ineligible to shoot in the Intramural competition.
